About Valesa

I am a lifelong Alaskan and mom to 2 children and a lot of critters. I have a passion for animal rescue and we currently have 2 rescued dogs and 4 rescued cats, and I’ve fostered for a few local animal rescues. We also have chickens, a hermit crab, a bearded dragon, a frog, and some fish. You might say we love animals.

I was born and raised in Anchorage.  I received a Bachelor’s degree in math & science, then a Master’s degree in teaching from Alaska Pacific University, where I was an adjunct professor of mathematics from 1990-1995.

MISSION

To educate and empower my clients to make informed real estate decisions.

VISION

To be a generational Realtor and trusted advisor helping families with their real estate needs for generations.

My goal is to keep learning and shifting with the market to give you the best service possible. Because of this, I have put in the time, effort and education to become an Associate Broker as well as a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), a designation held by less than 4% of Realtors nationwide.

When I’m not helping clients I love exploring Alaska. I enjoy camping, fishing, hiking, and cross country skiing in this beautiful state. Other hobbies include gardening, reading, rock climbing, doing karate with my kids, archery, and rock painting. I also am the host of Explore My Town Anchorage, and I love spotlighting local businesses.

I’m happy to be a resource not just for real estate, but also for favorite hiking spots or information about camping, fishing, gardening, keeping chickens in Alaska, or local businesses.

I joined RE/MAX properties in 1995, and learned the business from some of the best real estate professionals in the industry.  In 2009, I made a great move to Keller Williams Realty.  I’ve always worked to provide “old fashioned” hands on service while still being at the leading edge of technology.

Why I Work By Referral

Relationships Are More Important Than Transactions

A referral from someone you trust who has experienced and received great service from a trusted Realtor is the best recommendation you can get. This is why I work by referral. When it comes to the largest purchase (or sale) most people ever make – a house, trust is essential.

Most of my new business comes from referrals from people with whom I have a good relationship, many of who I helped buy or sell homes. As a result, I don’t have to spend time prospecting for new business and promoting myself. Because of this I can devote my full attention to the activities that benefit you the most.

You Control My Business

Unlike most real estate agents I don’s spend my time door knocking, cold calling, or doing other prospecting activities. Instead I devote myself to serving the needs of my clients before, during, and after each sale. I run a relational vs transactional business, so you can expect me to keep in touch. I will send you valuable information each month, and will also call from time to time just to check in and see if you need anything.

Service After the Sale

My goal is to exceed your expectations. I look forward to earning your business and your referrals. You can be sure I have your best interests at heart when we conclude our transaction. I want you to be so ecstatic that you can’t wait to tell your friends and family about me and the great service you received! I would appreciate your referrals to great people like you who would gain from the excellent service and personal attention I provide.
